Set Sail For A Funny Tale Animated TV Series

Being chosen as a Semi-Finalist for the Balkan Can Kino Film Festival is a significant achievement for “Territory.” This year’s symposium, themed “Climate Crisis,” will feature screenings, artistic installations, workshops, and events aimed at educating and informing participants about environmental sustainability. The festival emphasizes the responsibility of large corporations and governments in combating climate change and highlights the need for structural changes to address this pressing global issue.

A Compelling Narrative on Environmental Challenges

“Territory” tells the moving story of two polar bears forced to wander the sea due to the effects of global warming. As they search for a new home, they come across an iceberg that seems suitable for survival. However, their fight over this territory leads to the destruction of their fragile new habitat. The film’s slogan, “People fight for the territory while the whole planet is sinking into disasters,” underscores the destructive impact of human conflicts and environmental changes on vulnerable species and their habitats.

A Platform for Climate Action

The Balkan Can Kino Film Symposium is a vital platform for filmmakers from around the world to showcase their works that explore the theme of the climate crisis. By bringing together experts, organizations, and artists, the symposium aims to foster dialogue and awareness around the intersection of environmental sustainability, social justice, and cultural expression.

The symposium is open to all genres that fit under the theme “Climate Crisis,” including narrative, documentary, experimental cinema, video art, and animation. Submissions can be made exclusively through FilmFreeway until the final deadline on June 28th, with the official selection announced in September.
