Set Sail For A Funny Tale Animated TV Series

Nickelodeon and Spin Master Entertainment also announced a new PAW Patrol television series spin-off for one of the major puppies planned to launch in the same year, capitalizing on the franchise’s widespread success. The current series, which is now in its ninth season on Nickelodeon, airs in over 160 countries and 30 different languages and constantly ranks among the top preschool and children’s programming for children aged 6 to 11.

“Just as the first movie’s success in theaters and streaming confirmed PAW Patrol’s status and power as a top, globally loved franchise, this second theatrical release paired with the asset’s very first television spin off will mark another major step in creating a universe of characters and stories to reach even more fans everywhere,” said Brian Robbins, President & CEO of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon and Chief Content Officer of Paramount+ Kids and Family. With our fantastic partners at Spin Master, we at Paramount and Nickelodeon are committed to provide children and families with more PAW Patrol adventures across a variety of media.

PAW Patrol: The Movie, the franchise’s first full-length motion picture, debuted in August 2021 and has since earned more than $135 million globally and $40 million domestically, ranking it as the sixth-highest-grossing animated family movie of the year. The movie captivated children and their parents and reached families with a simultaneous release in cinemas and on Paramount+, drawing on a star-studded ensemble that included Marsai Martin, Kim Kardashian West, Dax Shepard, Yara Shahidi, Jimmy Kimmel, and Tyler Perry. When it first launched, PAW Patrol: The Movie held the top place on the streaming platform, with families viewing it an average of three times.

The second film will be directed by seasoned animator Cal Brunker (PAW Patrol: The Movie; Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature). Produced by Toni Stevens, Senior Vice President, Entertainment Production & Operations at Spin Master, Laura Clunie, Senior Vice President, Development and Feature Film at Spin Master, and Jennifer Dodge, President of Spin Master Entertainment. Senior producing will include Spin Master co-founder Ronnen Harary, executive vice president Adam Beder, and Peter Schlessel.
