Make My Day (TV animated series)
Make My Day is a Japanese animated series made for Netflix. Yasuo Ohtagaki wrote the original story for it. Makoto Honda directed the series, and 5 Inc. animated and created the character designs.
Netflix initially revealed the concept during Geeked Week in June 2021. Yasuo Ohtagaki wrote the script, Makoto Honda directed it, and 5 Inc. created the animation and character designs. The mecha Casper design by Ohtagaki and Shoji Kawamori and certain character pictures and voice actors were shown by Netflix during the 2022 Geeked Week. The music was composed by Kensuke Ushio, while Yumiko Yoshizawa penned the story.
Make My Day Release Date
Make My Day was initially going to be an animated movie, but in January 2023, Netflix changed it to a series. The entire release of the series took place on February 2, 2023.
Premise
A jail has been built on an extremely cold planet, and the inmates are made to work in a sizable mine. Unknown monsters emerge from the mine one day and start attacking the inmates.
Netflix describes the story:
On an isolated icy planet promising a bright future, prisoners are forced to excavate a rare energy source that leads to a deadly, unwelcome discovery.
